cawdor and then empiriana? =P

are we gonna get cawdor here?? and what's empiriana?

empiriana was basically medievalands v2.0 after INN died -- it was massive and amazing. the game is tens of times bigger than yserbius/twinion/cawdor combined, many more maps, quests, etc. it was truly awesome.

and it lasted several years, but then went down for "good" in the late 2000s i think -- except for a few weeks here and there when we manage to catch the devs and convince them to bring it back online. one of the two devs died a couple years ago unfortunately when they were in the process of porting it to modern systems, and the other dev is probably disheartened and done working on it now as a result, sadly.

but i hold out hope!

there is an empiriana thread on yserbius.org that gets bumped every so often, sometimes there is news there

Awww, I didn't know one of the devs passed away. They were cool guys. I remember going to Vegas in '99 or '00 and meeting a ton of people who played Empiriana. Such a fun game that I spent several hundred hours playing.
