Good2Go | May 2, 2020 | I miss everyone. If anyone needs help with anything be it quests or leveling or just questions about the gameplay, please let me know here. I am willing to help you complete quests as well if you are stuck. |
Silver | May 2, 2020 | Still here. Thanks for your help in working my way through those clouds of thieves. Unfortunately, it looks like Gargoyles are my nightmare, as the Sovereign's Control seems to fail utterly with them, and one of the Winds that must be defeated has a platoon of them to defeat. I'll have to collect some friends. Or better equipment. Or more levels. Or, possibly, all of those things at once. |
Reginald | May 2, 2020 | I am still around, work has had me rather quiet in the last few days so it's kept me somewhat busy; I've still been in contact with Zane on a rather regular basis, so while I may not be in-game every day, I'm still lurking in the background. Should anyone catch a glimpse of myself or any of my close allies, feel free to hail us for assistance. - Regi |
Fext | May 3, 2020 | OMg, I want the halo you have in your background, that reminds me of version 2.0 |

ZaneDubya | May 4, 2020 | For my part, I am satisfied that Twinion is bug free and ready for publication. Mostly. I would like to add two or three medium-size things before that release - better item drops in the dungeon being one or them, and a better display of the debuffs on enemies being another. A possible third would be pets for players. But I admit that I haven't been working on those few last features in the past two weeks - instead I've been working on features that would be useful for the next expansion of MedievaLands. I suppose I should get back to the work at hand and take Twinion across the finish line. |
Lokkrinn | May 5, 2020 | When you say "expansion" are you by chance speaking of Ruins of Cawdor? Pets would be an interesting addition! I'm quite curious how that would work and what their function would be. |
ZaneDubya | May 6, 2020 | By expansion, I mean building a brand new Yserbius-style game on this existing engine. At present, the game uses the original maps, map scripts, item data, monster data, map scripts, etc. I am working on a set of tools that will allow me to augment those with bespoke data and maps. Right now I am writing a new scripting language and runtime for the server. This has been a fun escape from reality, but it has also been quite a time sink. Every time I think I have reached the finish line, I keep discovering the need for additional features. |
Lokkrinn | May 8, 2020 | That sounds great! Brand new games/expansions sounds pretty cool. Also, I'm sure new maps and content within the existing games would be good for a sort of end-game for high level players who have already completed the main quests multiple times. I'm sure it will take some extra time to implement all that, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Hoping you the best! |
