I just found a bow while in the second half of Labyrinth I but as a Ranger I can't use it? It says my guild cannot use that item.

Is this a bug, or just cruel old-school game design?

The bow in question is called 'Bow of the Elementals'

It's more of a meme. That is the case in the original game, so it's not a bug - there were many, many bows that couldn't be used by Rangers.
