Hi all, the MedievaLands patch server was in an error state for approximately two hours between 11:45 AM and 1:40 PM Monday July 20 (all times in Central time zone).

During this period the patch server responded to all login attempts by informing the client that it was out of date. This was caused by a programmer error (hi, that's me!). I had changed the way that versions were stored in the desktop client program (to allow the MacOS client to be correctly digitally signed). This change had a ripple effect that caused the server to be unable to read its own version.

The bug is fixed now. You will need to download a new client fresh from the website to connect.

At some point, I need to do a serious rewrite of the patch functionality - the code is very complex, and I can see that there are other potential points where the patching/version reporting could fail in the future.
