I have a low level wizard that has a buckler that has plus 1 armor and just got a shiney buckler that has plus 1 defense? which is better and why the differnces?

+1 Defense is better!

Each point of defense decreases the chance that the enemy will hit or crit you.

If an enemy hits you, then each point of armor will decrease the amount of physical damage done by 1.
