Yellow Gem and Harvest Horn

Hello Medivalanders!

I have been doing streams on the InnBarn version of Yserbius, and we've hit a snag that I did not hit when I played through on this version. We are about to face the Earth Elemental, and it seems as if there is a trigger we have missed somewhere.

We have the Yellow Rainbow Gem and the Harvest Horn. When we go to the pit, we use the items, and we die. Following the walkthrough, it talks about some of the visible runes and pictures in the other places of the Castle Paraments, but all it says is, "The wall glows." The answer appears to be that we missed a trigger somewhere, but I'll be darned if I know where.

Is anyone familiar with this problem?

(PS, for our Twinion run, it will almost certainly be on Medievalands - this is the best version, by far.)

Hail Mr. Miller -

The last time I worked on these map scripts for MedievaLands was in 2019, so I am delving deep into the data banks here. My apologies if I relay information which is incorrect, and send you to your untimely doom once more.

I believe the various walkthroughs you will find are based on the single-player version of the game. The offline version has a few differences from the INN version of the game to make the game playable by a single person. The map scripts for Castle Parapets feature one of these changes.

When you enter the tile at K9, a voice will whisper a clue as to how you might pass over the Endless Void. In the INN version of the game, the clue is "Only true friendship can bridge the gap of time." This, paired with the glowing walls, indicates that you need unpartied allies to face the glowing walls associated with the column and row of the next step you will take. This will unlock the next tile.

Unfortunately, I don't believe this is reflected in the graphics or the text of the player who is going to be making these steps.

Good journeys to you!

Holy smokes! One of our guys actually guessed at something like that and we tried SOMETHING like it. You should watch the VOD - how Crow! managed to think of that is anyone's guess. We laughed at the idea. How anyone would figure that out is beyond me!

The next question is like it, I guess - how do you manage to get everyone across then? Or is this one of those instances where we're going to have to do it in batches? Geez, I hope not, because there's a nasty dragon fight right before the Earth Elemental, IIRC.
