Hello,

Does anyone have any information on how the Pickpocketing skill works? I was levelling a thief today and have my Pickpocketing skill maxed at 12, however I don't seem to be able to successfully pick any pockets so I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.

This is how I have been trying to pickpocket.

1. Get into a fight in the volcano

2. Choose Skills -> Pickpocket

3. Target an enemy

4. See the message "You steal an item from the enemy"

5. Open my inventory to see what the item is, but there is nothing there.

6. Continue to kill the mob and see what the loot is at the end.

7. There is no loot at the end of the fight.

8. Open my inventory to see if the item is there now, but there is nothing there.

So I am just wondering if I am doing it wrong or if I am missing a tool needed for pickpocketing. Is the item supposed to appear in your inventory as soon as you see the message "You steal an item from the enemy", or does it wait until after the fight is over and shows up in the loot window?

Also, does being in a party affect the pickpocket loot? I was in a party of 4 all day today while trying to get pickpocketing to work so I don't know if that might have something to do with the issue.

It sounds like you are doing everything right. Ive pickpocketed in a group and on my own and have noticed additional loot in the loot window at the end of a battle. Very strange you are not seeing this. I wonder if anyone else is having this problem.
