Patch notes for April 1, 2020

Hail Friends! We are sixteen days away from the Grand Release of Twinion. I have almost completed the outstanding features I wanted in place for the release, and I am hopeful that my work schedule is easing up to the point that I can start working on some stretch goals.

I haven't posted patch notes for some time, so this is a bit of a catch up edition. Read on for a list of features added and bugs fixed over the past three weeks, and as always, let me know if you come across any bugs!

Changes in game functionality:

* True seeing is now automatically cast on yourself. You can't cast this on a party member.

* "Elemental stones" have been seen in the dungeon. If you are interested in reading about these strange items, I recommend reading up on Azameth's findings, which he has been kind enough to post in the Role Playing forums.

* About 12 of missed attacks will now be 'glancing' hits that do half damage.

Polish:

* I completely changed the way that skills and spells show their messages in combat and in the dungeon. This is part of my effort to create a framework to support new skills and spells, and fix long-standing bugs where text messages appeared out of order in combat. I tried to test this new functionality but it may still produce a few artifacts. If you see any strange text, please let me know!

* Added the original soundtrack for Twinion!

* Automap save data has been moved to the server! You'll now see your most up to date automaps no matter what computer you use to play MedievaLands. Note that automaps are not saved when you disconnect unexpectedly.

* The automap now automatically opens when you cast true seeing and use the read tracks skill.

* New icons have been added for the buffs and debuffs on your character sheet.

* You can now edit bullet in board posts.

* Scrollbars were added to multi-line text controls.

* Shadows were added to the new cursors.

* The server has been updated to use the .NET "Long Term Support" framework that will receive bug fixes and security updates through 2021.

Bug fixes:

* UI hangs were fixed when teleporting out while holding an item in the mouse pointer, and when you had selected an action but not a target during combat.

* /ginvite has been fixed for Twinion players.

* The guild management screen now saves the option to allow join requests from other players.

* The resurrection heart is now functional.

* Duels are now fixed in Twinion.

* I have fixed the drawing function that rendered non-premultiplied textures incorrectly.

* Using the 'detect' skill item now properly uses a charge.

* Monsters will no longer occasionally target dead players.

* Fixed (I hope!) the rare 'garbled audio' bug that occurred when disconnecting from the server.

* Fixed an issue where loot items could disappear from your loot window when using an item in a tile that had an active event.
