Feature Request - Easier Menu Swap

When cycling through the paperdoll, stats, inventory, quest items, and map in the dungeon, I noticed that most menus require you to close the map or a previous screen if it's already open before allowing you to go to another menu. Would it be possible to make it easier to transition between these menus by automatically closing the map or oher previous menu to allow the other menu to open? It gets to be a little bothersome closing the map everytime by having to click the close button just because I want to look at my next level EXP and have to pass through the paperdoll screen just to get to the stats screen.

It's a small thing, but I think it'd be a nice Quality of Life change.

Thanks for this suggestion, Azameth! This is definitely one of those areas where the original game experience could be improved. Every UI component in this program, from the screen containers to the buttons to the text boxes, can be constructed and disposed with very little effort, so I'm sure it would be possible to make it easier to invoke menus without having to traipse through the original game's UI stack.

To take it one step further, I think it would be nice if you could open *two* windows side by side, so you could look at your inventory while the map is open. A major stumbling block in this effort is the low resolution: the game's UI space is only 320x200. But one of my stretch goals is to increase this size so the player can see more information in the screens that are the most cramped - the keep, the dungeon (oof, that tiny text box!), and the skills menu come to mind. We'll have to see what's possible.
