You can always make another account, and have 6 more sets of characters to create.

Not doing this. Six is the limit.

I was going to request more slots too. I remember manually saving my character files and swapping them so I could try out more characters. Is the problem server storage, or something else?

It's not server storage, just a reflection of the original game. I'll mull this over, but no promises.
