Time Stamp Expansion

First: I am absolutely loving the new engine and features. This is my personal go-to for Yserbius/Twinion.

Request: Character specific playtime stamps on achievements.

Rationale: This is definitely a niche request. I do speedruns of old Sierra games, and I am looking to expand this into a group with three others to see how long it takes to beat Yserbius (and possibly Twinion). The older Yserbius, while nostalgic, has quite a bit of additional input lag and Medievalands is just a much more updated presentation for enjoyment.

I can gauge how long based on my account playtime, but it would *really* help to have individual character timestamps - not just the dates, but the actual playtime for the character (not the account) for when an achievement goes off. Of course, we could just run a timer, but that gets a little difficult if we have to break the speedrun across multiple sessions.

Hail mrprmiller!

This is an interesting request. The idea of speed running Yserbius isn't something that had ever occured to me - but I can see the appeal.

I'll add this to the list of tracking issues on the GitHub.

Take care down there (and good luck in Twinion!)

Thanks, Dev! :D :D

That's great news. Thank you for considering this request. In case you were wondering, I managed to mainly solo (and at times with no more than one other party member) the game in about 90 hours. But there were many, many deaths. Much wandering. If the goal is only the last boss, I believe that Medievalands Yserbius can probably be beat by a dedicated team of four in about 12 hours. :P Maybe less, believe it or not.

Until today, the game only stored played time for your account as a whole, not each individual character.

I've now added tracking code that will record your played time per character. You can see your character played time in the achievements/quests window, which is accessible from the Keep and now also from the shield button in the dungeon.

Your existing characters will start at 0 seconds of played time, so they will appear very young.

New characters will start tracking played time from their first login.

Most interestingly, new characters will also record how long it took them to complete each achievement. Your fastest time for each achievement will also be recorded in the account-wide list of achievements, which you will be able to see from the same achievements window.

One more thought - this would have been an expensive adventure back in the day!

If you were subscribed to INN at the cheapest 1995 rate, and were able to beat the game in 90 hours - leaving aside the fact that the older game doesn't run quite as quickly as this remake - you would be paying $9.95 for 5 hours and $2.95 for each additional hour. About $260 in total!

That joke comes up pretty much everytime our group meets on INNBarn for our weekly sessions. And considering speedruns usually take multiple attempts, we're talking $260 dollars per successful attempt - meaning multiple hundreds going into failed ones.
