Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you as we play through this game. I have always been a very nostalgic person, and it brings me great comfort to play through old games when I am feeling a bit out of it. I hope this game provides you with some stress relief as well in these interesting times.

Reginald

Greetings Zane; I have been well, and hopefully many among the tavern here have felt the same. It's been a very trying time with things happening in reality as of late, however games like this provide a nice escape from the chaos that currently blows itself heedless among the population.

Hopefully as things calm down, we can return to focusing on some more potential ideas, yes?

Great to hear from you Regi! I'm glad to hear that you're healthy. I am - like you - very much looking forward to settling back into a routine. Hopefully the days and weeks ahead will illuminate what that routine will look like.

All my best to everyone here, as always!

Hey Zane, Reggie.

I'm doing okay, and so are my loved ones. For now at least...

We're doing our best to stay healthy and safe. Some days I feel like I live in some alternate reality that we got sucked into years ago - in fact, my closest friends have dubbed it "Clown world" and I think it's a pretty apt name.

These days I'm stressed, worried, but most of all, scared. I don't want anyone I know to suffer, or worse, pass away. I wish I had something positive to say to lift your spirits, but as it is... I just want everyone to stay safe and do their part. I want people to take this situation seriously and I want all the talking heads and media coverage to just.. Stop.

I'm the kind of person who went through years of panic attacks and anxiety - and now, we have more than enough to be anxious without the helping hands of social media, news media and the fact that no matter where you go, you can't escape the reports.

Please stay safe, take care of yourselves and your loved ones and let's get through these trying times so we can look back and say "Man, that was nuts"

At least every time I log in 'BigKnockers' is online! Something to look at other than the COVID19 news!

Fext, my dear friend. I am sorry, but I must (gently) admonish you. I recognize that you mean no harm at all, and yet... I ask that you recognize that as the only developer here, it's very important that my own statements must be something that people can rely upon.

Fext, here you are inventing things that I never said. Please don't do that. I have never told you you couldn't have a goofy name like 'BigBalls'. That's a very goofy name but you're free to do that, and only me and the other players of this game will judge you for the same.

I have been thinking of Yserbius recreations and what my own goal with this recreation should be. There have been many projects to recreate or replace the original. Gandalf's "Yserbius Project" and Xenther's "Realms Asunder" and my own goofy teenage "Yet Another Yserbius" project. A recreation of Yserbius was also the ultimate goal of my "FauxINN" project from 2003 which some of you may remember! And now we have the awesome complete resurrection of the original game in InnBarn, where the original game comes to life without any additions or changes or 'improvements'.

Because the original game is available and out there, I feel no need to recreate Yserbius in its original form here, in this application. I intend to continue changing the original game, so that it becomes a better and more fun time sink for players. But my changes will require that I be able to honestly questions regarding why I've decided to move away from the original. And for that purpose, I must be trustworthy.

And to be trustworthy, I must not be misrepresented by my friends here.

So I ask that you not misrepresent what I'm saying. I will need to spend that trustworthiness in my responses when I argue for the changes that I think will make MedievaLands an 'improved' version of the original game.

All my best wishes for you, as always.
