Hi folks! I'm Bogus! I am so stoked to be finally playing Shadows of Yserbius! This has been a game long on my list to play after discovering it through the Imagination Network! I am going to be playing this with some friends on Twitch through a first time playthrough, just discovering the game in a natural progression and I couldn't be happier! I've been a player of games for over 35 years now, with a deep rooted passion for games of all genres, especially MMOs. The virtual communities that spring up from these types of games really encapsulate the sort of community I appreciate and I can not wait to see y'all out there in the bowels of Yserbius itself! I am going to chronicle our adventures in the roleplaying board with a little in-character joviality! I hope y'all enjoy!

Hail Bogarius, and well met! I count it a privilege to meet other retro gaming enthusiasts, particularly those who appreciate the community aspects of older online communities. As a relevant and personal example, I recall playing on INN as a child. The folks on that service were so very welcoming and inclusive and helpful despite knowing (there is no way they could not have known!) that I was just a kid.

The stories of those who played on TSN and INN have mostly dissapeared from the internet, but you can still find them on the internet archive and occasionally in the dusty corners of the web: tales of friendship and fellowship and personal freedom and above all an intense feeling of belonging and connection to others. The modern internet lacks all of that. If I had one wish, I would ask for the wherewithal and good fortune to recreate one of these online communities that existed before the eternal september.

Welcome Kaeden! It is a pleasure to have you! What were your early experiences with Yserbius if you remember? I looooove hearing about the community of old on the Imagination Network. It wasn't something I got to experience personally, but I love to live vicariously through the tales of others!
